Community Work Program

The northside of Jacksonville is home to thousands of people struggling to make ends meet.  Many of these people depend on public assistance.  However, to receive it, they must put in community service hours at approved locations.  When Pastor Nick found out that most were having to take the bus to the other side of town, he decided to do something about it.  He set up a data entry room where people earn their hours while getting computer and leadership experience.  This, in turn, builds confidence and enhances their resume. 
We take great joy in the sucesses that come out of our work program.  People have come off of public assistance, they have gone back to school, they have started to believe in themselves again.
